Intro: A 440ml can, packaged on 12th November 2018, and with a best before date of 12th March 2019. Poured into a Lost Abbey teku glass.
Appearance: A nice hazy golden yellow orange colour with one finger white fluffy head that had good retention and left nice lacing.
Aroma: A bit light, but there’s melon, papaya, grapefruit rind, grass, onion and straw.
Taste: Bitter, unripe tropical fruits with touches of melon and papaya. Grapefruit, grass, straw, slightly dank, citrus peel.
Mouthfeel: Crisp, somewhat dry, light to medium bodied with moderate to high carbonation.
Overall: There was fruit, but it was largely unripe and less flavourful. The crispness was nice, but it didn’t feel as dry as I’d expect from a Brut IPA. I think overall it was ok, but not a top Brut IPA.

Pressure Drop Show Of Hands

Brewery: Pressure Drop Brewing
Country: England
ABV: 7%
Style: New England / Hazy IPA
Other Notes: Hops – Citra, Ekuanot and Mosaic. DDH @ 20g/L

Brewer Description: (from can) The New England style maximises the juicy character of the hops. Grain and yeast add layers of flavour that intensify the hops’ fruitiness.

Intro: A 440ml can, packaged on 12th November 2018 and with a best before date of 12th March 2019. Poured into a Lost Abbey teku glass.
Appearance: A hazy golden yellow colour with a just under two finger white head that had decent retention and left lots of nice lacing.
Aroma: Citrusy mandarin, mandarin rind, orange zest with hints of mango and peach.
Taste: Bitter, orange zest, citrus rind and peel with a touch of mango.
Mouthfeel: Light bodied with moderate carbonation.
Overall: Aroma is nice, and while taste is not bad and has some fruitiness to it, it is largely bitter, and probably too bitter for a NEIPA.

Intro: A 500ml can, with a best before date of 9th April 2019. Poured into a Lost Abbey teku glass.
Appearance: A nice lightly hazy golden orange colour with a two finger white head that had good retention and left some nice lacing.
Aroma: Mango, orange, grapefruit rind, onion and a touch of grass.
Taste: Mandarin pith, orange zest and rind, dank, grainy, grass, and a lasting bitter finish.
Mouthfeel: Creamy, medium bodied with moderate carbonation.
Overall: Some nice fruitiness, but the dankness was probably a bit too strong and overpowered the fruit at times.

Intro: A 440ml can, canned on 16th November 2018. Poured into a Lost Abbey teku glass.
Appearance: A hazy golden yellow orange colour with a just under two finger white head that had pretty good retention and left some nice lacing.
Aroma: Mango, melon, papaya, grapefruit rind and mandarin.
Taste: Sweet, quite juicy, melon, unripe cantaloupe, mango, orange juice and orange pith and rind.
Mouthfeel: Creamy, medium bodied with moderate carbonation.
Overall: An easy to drink NEIPA. Less tropical and not quite as juicy as Yellow Lolly. The canned version seemed better than the when I tried it on draft. But of the two, my preference is Yellow Lolly.

Intro: A 440ml can, canned on 20th November 2018. Poured into a Lost Abbey teku glass.
Appearance: A hazy golden yellow orange colour with a slightly less than two finger white head that had good retention and left lots of nice lacing.
Aroma: Tropical mango and pineapple with a hint of melon and citrus rind.
Taste: Juicy, tropical, mango, peach, apricot with an orange rind lightly bitter finish.
Mouthfeel: Medium bodied with moderate carbonation.
Overall: A juicy, easy to drink NEIPA with good strong tropical notes. I easily preferred this one over Red Lorry.
