Brewer Description: (from bottle) Inspired by the Latin American dessert, this pastry stout offers a creamy, caramel sweetness characterized by toffee, and butterscotch with a subtle vanilla finish. The bourbon flavours imparted by 13 months in the barrels contribute hints of caramel, pecan and nutmeg which complement the dessert forward notes of this decadent beer. Pour over a fresh churro and experience una delicia!

Intro: A dark yellow waxed 375ml bottle, with a best before date of 30th May 2027. Poured into a snifter glass.
Appearance: Black in colour with a thin beige head that dissipated fairly quickly to a ring around the glass, while leaving some spotty lacing.
Aroma: Sweet, chocolate, caramel, vanilla, bourbon, with light nutty notes.
Taste: Sweet, chocolate, butterscotch, toffee, caramel, vanilla, bourbon, raisin.
Mouthfeel: Creamy, smooth, full bodied with soft carbonation.
Overall: Definitely sweet, but that was expected, and given this sweetness and the ABV, it was an enjoyable night of sipping with great aroma and flavours.

Brewer Description: (from bottle) Off the Rack Maple Bourbon was aged for 25 months in Canadian maple syrup barrels that were previously used for bourbon ageing. The rich, velvety texture and bold, complex flavors of our imperial stout are enhanced by the sweetness and woody depth of the barrels, resulting in a luxurious beer. Each sip reveals layers of coffee, toffee, and dark fruit, all balanced by clear maple notes and a smooth, warming finish.

Appearance: Black in colour with a thin beige head that dissipated fairly quickly to a ring around the glass, while leaving some spotty lacing.
Aroma: Sweet, chocolate, coffee, dark fruit, fig, brown sugar, toffee, maple syrup, with notes of vanilla.
Taste: Similar to the aroma, sweet, chocolate, coffee, brown sugar, toffee, fig, maple syrup.
Mouthfeel: Creamy, smooth, medium to full bodied, with soft carbonation.
Overall: An enjoyable sipper, with good aroma and flavours, but perhaps on the verge of being too sweet for my palate.

Brewer Description: (from bottle) Another big stout out of Rackhouse, this beer is a Bounty bar dipped in bourbon and drizzled in chocolate and coconut all over again. Many many many coconuts and cocoa beans were harmed in its making.

Intro: A blue glittered waxed 375ml bottle, with a best before date of 4th November 2027. Poured into a snifter glass.
Appearance: Black in colour with a very thin beige head that disappeared almost immediately while leaving only sparse to no lacing.
Aroma: Light roasted malts, caramel, chocolate, vanilla, coconut, and light boozy notes.
Taste: Sweet, caramel, chocolate, vanilla, coconut, molasses, brown sugar, and a touch of bourbon.
Mouthfeel: Creamy, smooth, full bodied with soft carbonation.
Overall: Definitely a sipper because of it’s richness and sweetness. The aroma and flavours were enjoyable but only in small amounts as it was on the verge of being overly sweet.

Brewer Description: (from bottle) Off the Rack: Australian Dark Rum 2021 is a blend of one imperial stout base with deep chocolate, vanilla and caramel notes, and another imperial stout base to balance out the blend with toasted booziness and a light peppery bitterness. Each base had 12 months on dark rum barrels, and the wood imparted charred oak, coconut and treacle with the faintest hint of ester-driven banana bread.

Appearance: Black in colour with a thin beige head that dissipated fairly quickly to a ring around the glass, while leaving some spotty lacing.
Aroma: Dessert, light roast, chocolate, vanilla, caramel, coconut, boozy, rum, with notes of raisins.
Taste: Sweet, chocolate, vanilla, caramel, rum, with notes of coconut and raisin.
Mouthfeel: Creamy, smooth, full bodied with soft carbonation.
Overall: Enjoyable sipper with great aroma and nice flavours, but another Lervig Rackhouse that is on the verge of being too sweet for my palate.

Brewer Description: (from bottle) This beer is defined by a natural marriage of coconut, rum and bourbon which produce aromas of coconut cream pie. Upon the first sip, light notes of honey and spice dance on the tongue before freshly-brewed coffee intertwines with the dominant toasted coconut flavours. The finish has a boozy edge which is softened by vanilla-forward sweetness and oak lactones from both the coconut and 14 months in bourbon & rum barrels.

Appearance: Black in colour with coconut like floaties and a thin tanned head that dissipated quickly while leaving sparse lacing.
Aroma: Sweet, coconut, caramel, vanilla, chocolate, coffee, and notes of wafer.
Taste: Sweet, chocolate, coffee, toasted coconut, vanilla, oak, caramel, bourbon, rum.
Mouthfeel: Creamy, smooth, full bodied, with soft carbonation.
Overall: The aroma and flavours were nice and made for an enjoyable sipper, although perhaps on the verge of being too sweet for my palate.
