Equilibrium Light at the End of the Tunnel

Brewery: Equilibrium Brewery
Country: USA
ABV: 6.8%
Style: New England / Hazy IPA

Brewer Description: (from Untappd) Light At The End of The Tunnel uses Photon as its inspiration with some modifications and upgrades including an all Survivable hop blend for the whirlpool and a large dose of Lupomax Citra in addition to a supersized Photon hop bill. Aromas and flavors of soft pineapple, navel orange, stone fruit, EQ’s rainbow melon, and lime juice radiate with a touch of pine resin at the finish making this beer an easy drinking accompaniment to celebrate the fact that we hopefully have the finish line in site.

Intro: A 1 pint can, with no clear canned on or best before date. Poured into a winebar glass.
Appearance: A hazy orange colour with an almost two finger white head that had good retention and left some nice lacing.
Aroma: Orange, melon, lime, with maybe notes of pineapple.
Taste: Bitter, orange rind, melon, lime, lemon zest, and a touch herbal, floral spicy.
Mouthfeel: Medium bodied with moderate to soft carbonation.
Overall: It’s drinkable, but generally the aroma and flavours just wasn’t exactly my thing, especially when compared to other Equilibrium NEIPAs that I’ve tried.

Equilibrium x Weldwerks Tera Bitrate Fluctuation

Brewery: Equilibrium Brewery x Weldwerks Brewing
Country: USA
ABV: 8.5%
Style: New England / Hazy Double IPA

Brewer Description: (from Untappd) Our collab with Weldwerks amps up the hop bill to near extreme levels. Using the same base with an adjusted hop schedule, Citra Incognito, Citra T-90’s and Idaho7 was added to the whirlpool with a huge dry hop of Strata, Citra, Galaxy, and Bru-1. Tera Bitrate Fluctuation pours with aromas of pineapple chunks, mango, and lime with juicy flavors of pineapple in syrup, ripe mango, lime gummy wedges, fruit punch box drink, and a touch of Anjou pear. Despite the amount of hops, this beer is extremely bright and crushable with a pulpy mouth feel and a dank lime custard note and our #EQjuice finish.

Equilibrium x Toppling Goliath King Al

Brewery: Equilibrium Brewery x Toppling Goliath Brewing Company
Country: USA
ABV: 7.9%
Style: New England / Hazy Double IPA

Brewer Description: (from Untappd) King AL uses a mashed-up grain bill from MC² and Toppling Goliath’s King Sue before introducing Equilibrium’s absolute biggest dry hop to date with an all Citra Incognito, Citra LUPOMAX, Citra Cryo, and Citra T-90 hop bill. Pouring a milky opaque yellow with aromas of mango sorbet and orange creamsicle, we get chewy saturated flavors of tropical smoothie, fresh squeezed navel orange juice, dank grass, fruit salad in syrup, and lime gummies with a thick and custard like creamsicle finish and a huge blast of EQjuice rainbow melon flavors. King AL is dangerously soft and smooth and may have you questioning the laws of physics, space, time or just how we got a melted orange creamsicle fruit bomb into the can.

Intro: A 1 pint can, with no clear canned on or best before date. Poured into a winebar glass.
Appearance: A hazy milky orange colour with a one finger white head that had excellent retention and left lots of nice lacing.
Aroma: Creamsicle, mango, passionfruit, pineapple, vanilla.
Taste: Juicy, mango, passionfruit, pineapple, orange pith, grapefruit, lime soda, with a lasting bitter finish.
Mouthfeel: Medium bodied with moderate to soft carbonation.
Overall: Loved the creamsicle aroma, and too bad it wasn’t replicated in the taste as the citrus bitterness was quite obvious. However, it was still enjoyable and easy to drink despite not heading in the direction I hoped it would after my first whiff.
