Intro: A 330ml bottle with a best before date of 12th December 2018. Poured into a Lost Abbey teku glass.
Appearance: A hazy purple red (near beetroot) colour with a one finger pinkish head that had decent retention, but left only sparse lacing.
Aroma: Creamy, vanilla ice cream, milk candy, lactose, sweet and very lightly tart blueberry.
Taste: Sweet and tart blueberry, lightly sour, vanilla ice cream with a light caramel nuttiness on the finish.
Mouthfeel: Creamy, medium to light bodied with moderate to low carbonation.
Overall: This was interesting with its blueberry and vanilla ice cream flavours. But I think the raspberry version was better and more balanced.

Intro: A 330ml bottle with a best before date of 25th December 2018. Poured into a Lost Abbey teku glass.
Appearance: A hazy purple red colour with a one finger pinkish head that dissipated fairly quickly while leaving only sparse lacing.
Aroma: Vanilla ice cream, milk candy, sweet and lightly tart raspberry and more vanilla.
Taste: Lightly sweet, vanilla/milk ice cream with an overdose of tart raspberry sauce and a touch of citrusy acidic lemon.
Mouthfeel: Creamy, light to medium bodied with moderate carbonation.
Overall: This is right up my alley. It’s got the aroma and taste that I enjoy and is just refreshing to my palate.

Omnipollo x Buxton Yellow Belly Sundae

Intro: A 330ml bottle with a best before date of 20th June 2020. Poured into a snifter.
Appearance: It was black in colour with a thin mocha head that dissipated quickly and left sparse spotty lacing.
Aroma: Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups, peanut, biscuit and caramel. There’s a hint of vanilla possibly from the barrel, but I’m not getting much, if any bourbon.
Taste: Peanut butter, milk chocolate, biscuit, vanilla and bourbon sweetness. There is bitter dark chocolate and a slight boozy harshness on the finish.
Mouthfeel: Creamy, full bodied with light to moderate carbonation and a slight boozy harshness which falls away as it warms.
Overall: Even with no bourbon in the aroma, the aroma was still stunning. Taste was a harsher version of Yellow Belly with alcohol booziness coming through, although this harshness dropped away as it warmed. It was still nice, but it makes this version more of a sipper.

Appearance: Extremely dark brown to black in colour with a very thin brown head that disappears quickly while leaving very sparse lacing.
Aroma: Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups, peanuts, wafer biscuit, caramel and toffee.
Taste: Peanut butter, milk chocolate and biscuit sweetness followed by some nice lightly bitter coffee and dark chocolate with hints of peanut here and there.

Intro: A 330ml bottle with a best before date of 25th October 2021. Poured into a snifter glass.
Appearance: Dark brown in colour with only a very thin brown head that dissipated almost immediately and left sparse to no lacing.
Aroma: Peanut, vanilla, marshmallow, chocolate, caramel and biscuit.
Taste: Sweet, caramel, vanilla, marshmallow, chocolate and nuts.
Mouthfeel: Creamy, full to medium bodied with low carbonation and alcohol coming through.
Overall: This was nice, but not quite as good as Texas Pecan Ice Cream. I thought that perhaps there was just a bit too much caramel in the flavour.
