Brewer Description: (from bottle) The Rullquin au café d’Éthiopie is the result of a collaboration with Rich Sorano and Parlor Coffee Roasters. Beer of mixed fermentation, it is obtained from a blend of 7/8 of Rulles Brune and 1/8 of 1 year old lambics, which has matured for 8 months on oak barrels. Ground coffee from Ethiopia was infused into the blend for 24 hours before bottling. Unfiltered and unpasteurized, this beer is refermented and matured in the bottle for 1 year.

Intro: A 750ml corked and caged bottle, with a neck label of 2022-2023, and a best before date of 7th July 2033. Poured into a Tilquin stemmed glass.
Appearance: A very nice dark brown in colour with a one finger beige tanned head, that had good retention and left nice lacing, much like very nice coffee crema.
Aroma: Light coffee roast, a light tartness, red berries, raspberry, redcurrants, dark chocolate, and a slight nutty finish.
Taste: Tart, green apple, redcurrant, plums, light roast, coffee, chocolate, with a slight bitterness on the finish.
Mouthfeel: Medium bodied with moderate carbonation.
Overall: Would have loved for an even stronger coffee influence, perhaps it has faded a bit, given a year or two, but still an interesting blend that was enjoyable to drink. Preferred this over the Rwanda version.
