Intro: A 330ml can, with a best before date of 31st August 2019. Poured into a Lost Abbey teku glass.
Appearance: A cloudy darkish orange colour with two finger white head that had pretty good retention and left lots of nice sticky lacing.
Aroma: Bubblegum, banana, clove, citrusy mandarin creamsicle, lemon peel and grass.
Taste: Light sour and tart, grapefruit, sweetish floral, clove, banana, with hints of peach and lemon peel. Light bitter finish.
Mouthfeel: Medium bodied with moderate carbonation.
Overall: Easy to drink, but the floral and citrus flavours almost overpower the clove and banana that I so enjoy in my Weizenbocks.

Dádiva Black Mist Maple

Brewery: Cervejaria Dádiva
Country: Brazil
ABV: 10.9%
Style: Russian Imperial Stout

Brewer Description: No real description that I could find. But I guess I could say Black Mist base with some version of maple added to it.

Intro: A 473ml can with a FAB (fabrication?) date of August 2018. Poured into a snifter glass.
Appearance: Black in colour with an almost one finger mocha brown head that dissipated fairly quickly but left some nice spotty lacing.
Aroma: Roasted malts, coffee, chocolate and some light maple.
Taste: Roasted malts, coffee, dark chocolate, with hints of oak, maple and brown sugar. Lightly sweet with a light bitter finish.
Mouthfeel: Creamy, medium to full bodied with soft carbonation.
Overall: Sweeter than the original base version, but the maple flavours are not coming through strong enough considering ‘maple’ is in its name. Good roast, coffee and chocolate flavours though. But I preferred the original base version just that slightly more.

Intro: A 473ml can with a FAB (fabrication?) date of August 2018. Poured into a snifter glass.
Appearance: Black in colour with a half finger mocha brown head that dissipated fairly quickly and left only sparse lacing.
Aroma: Strong coffee, roasted malts, cocoa and maybe a hint of liquorice.
Taste: Roasted malts, coffee, milk chocolate and a lightly bitter finish.
Mouthfeel: Creamy, medium to full bodied with soft carbonation.
Overall: Good strong coffee and rich milk chocolate flavours make this very easy and nice to drink sipper. I preferred this base version slightly more than the Maple version.
