Intro: A 330ml can with a best before date of 15th November 2017. Poured into a Mikkeller tasting glass.
Appearance: A hazy dark golden orange colour with an almost two finger white head that had decent retention and left nice lacing.
Aroma: Orange juice, lemon, pine and caramel with hints of mango.
Taste: Bittersweet tangy citrus fruit, orange rind, biscuit malt, toffee and hints of honey.
Mouthfeel: Medium bodied with moderate carbonation.
Overall: This was nice and enjoyable to drink. Second favourite to Mosaic, and much better than the Cascade and Simcoe versions.

Intro: A 330ml can with a best before date of 15th November 2017. Poured into a Mikkeller tasting glass.
Appearance: A lightly hazy golden orange colour with a two finger frothy white head that had good retention and left nice lacing.
Aroma: Orange juice, honey, pine and caramel with hints of grapefruit.
Taste: Bittersweet orange juice, grapefruit, pine and caramel while at the same time, quite boozy.
Mouthfeel: Medium bodied with moderate to low carbonation.
Overall: This was one was not really for me. My least favourite of the four single hop IIPA’s that I tried. It was the clear booziness that took away from my fully appreciating this.

ABV: 6.9%
Style: American IPA
Other Notes: Brewed & canned by Mikkeller at De Proef Brouwerij

Brewer Description: (from can) Single Hop Series – Simcoe

My rating: 3
My beeradvocate.com rating: 3.88
My ratebeer.com rating: 3.7

Intro: A 330ml can with a best before date of 7th November 2017. Poured into a Lost Abbey teku glass.
Appearance: It was a dark copper amber colour with a two finger off white head that had good retention and left nice lacing.
Aroma: Pineapple and candied orange sweetness with hints of caramel, berries, pine and grapefruit.
Taste: Sweet malt, light caramel, pine, grass and herbal with hints of bitter citrus and mixed berries.
Mouthfeel: Medium bodied with moderate carbonation.
Overall: This was pretty good, but the malts seemed to take charge when it was supposed to showcase a single hop, which was a bit disappointing. However I did feel that this was the best of the four Single Hop Series that I tried.

Intro: A 330ml can with a best before date of 9th November 2017. Poured into a Lost Abbey teku glass.
Appearance: A slightly hazy copper amber colour with a two finger off white head that had good retention and left nice lacing.
Aroma: A good mix of citrus orange and mandarin with tropical papaya and mango plus hints of pine and grass.
Taste: Malty sweet biscuit and caramel with bitter citrus rind, peel and orange. Maybe hints of mango and pine on the finish, but not much.
Mouthfeel: Medium bodied with moderate carbonation.
Overall: Not as good as Cascade or Simcoe, but like the others, the malts overpowered the hops and was just ok.
