Intro: A 12 fl. oz. bottle with a Julian bottled on date of 13316, meaning that it was bottled on 12th May 2016. Poured into a snifter glass.
Appearance: Black in colour with a very thin tanned head that dissipated quickly and left pretty much no lacing.
Aroma: Apple brandy, caramel, chocolate, vanilla and a light whiff of alcohol.
Taste: Sweet apple brandy, chocolate, fudge, vanilla, raisins, oak, caramel and toffee before ending with apple brandy once again.
Mouthfeel: Rich, smooth, full bodied with low carbonation.
Overall: Another great sipper from Prairie with wonderful aromas and nice taste. The apple brandy did make it almost too sweet for me, but this was kind of kept under control so long as I only sipped it slowly.

Intro: A 330ml bottle, 2017 release with a best before date of 31st December 2022. Poured into a snifter glass.
Appearance: Black in colour with a big almost two finger tanned head that had good retention, but eventually settled to a thin layer, while leaving some nice lacing.
Aroma: Roasted malts, chocolate with a touch of wood and chili.
Taste: Chili spice dominates but doesn’t overpower, and this is a good thing. In the background appears the roasted malts, chocolate, caramel, molasses, dark fruit and oak.
Mouthfeel: Creamy, medium to full bodied with low carbonation.
Overall: A very nice sipper. I tried this just after the Raspberry version and preferred this a lot more. There is good heat that isn’t overpowering, but yet enough to mask any booze. In addition, the chilis complement the base roastiness and chocolate really well. Although there was oak, it would have been really interesting to me, if the bourbon actually turned up, but lets not take anything away from this great tasting beer.

Intro: A 330ml bottle with a best before date of 12th December 2018. Poured into a Lost Abbey teku glass.
Appearance: A hazy purple red (near beetroot) colour with a one finger pinkish head that had decent retention, but left only sparse lacing.
Aroma: Creamy, vanilla ice cream, milk candy, lactose, sweet and very lightly tart blueberry.
Taste: Sweet and tart blueberry, lightly sour, vanilla ice cream with a light caramel nuttiness on the finish.
Mouthfeel: Creamy, medium to light bodied with moderate to low carbonation.
Overall: This was interesting with its blueberry and vanilla ice cream flavours. But I think the raspberry version was better and more balanced.
