Brewer Description: (from bottle) A Kriek of two continents. Behold the fruit of our collaboration with Oud Beersel of Lambic brewing fame. Their Kriek, a cherry-spiked Lambic travelled from Belgium to be united with New Belgium’s specially brewed Golden Ale, as well as Wood-Aged Sour beer pulled straight from our foeders, for a blend of sour cherry bliss. It’s a new legend waiting to be poured.

Intro: A 22 fl. oz. bomber, 2016 vintage. Poured into a 3 Fonteinen stemmed glass.
Appearance: A lightly hazy ruby red colour with an almost two finger whitish pink head that had pretty good retention and left some nice curtain lacing.
Aroma: Lots of cherry, lifesaver cherry hard candy with perhaps a touch of oak.
Taste: Sweet and sour cherry, lightly candied, oak, but flavours overall were a bit soft.
Mouthfeel: Light to medium bodied with moderate to soft carbonation.
Overall: Aromas were great, but flavours while good, were a little too soft on the palate for me. Also, not a lot of funk in the aroma or flavours, which is not a problem for me, but just a comment since I was expecting some.

Brewer Description: (from bottle) Seriously sour, this Flanders-style reddish brown ale was aged 1-3 years in French oak barrels for mouthpuckering perfection.

Intro: A 22 fl. oz. bomber, 2016 vintage, bottled on 19th December 2015. Poured into a 3 Fonteinen stemmed glass.
Appearance: A dark reddish brown colour with a two fingered creamy tanned head that had decent retention and left some nice lacing.
Aroma: Tart cherry, vinous, wine with hints of plum, raisin, oak and vinegar.
Taste: Tart, sour, cherry, plum, vinous and oak with hints of green apple. A good lasting sour finish.
Mouthfeel: Medium bodied with moderate carbonation.
Overall: A nice and great tasting Oud Bruin.

Other Notes: Ale brewed with hibiscus, rose and citrus fruit

Brewer Description: (from bottle) No need to jet to Antwerp when you can open up a bouquet of Flowering Citrus Ale. Thanks to our friends at De Koninck Brewery, we brewed up a summery ale bursting with key lime and whole lemons that mingle with the fragrance of hibiscus, rose petals and strawberry-tinged Mistral hops. Open up and let Belgian summer bloom.

Intro: A 12 fl oz bottle with an enjoy by date of 25th June 2017. Poured into a Lost Abbey teku glass.
Appearance: A lightly hazy golden colour with a two finger white head that had decent retention and left lots of nice lacing.
Aroma: Bready malt, honey, citrusy lemon with hints of flowers.
Taste: Tangy and sweet citrusy orange and lemon, bready malt with a light herbal and flowery flavour.
Mouthfeel: Light bodied with moderate carbonation.
Overall: This was refreshing and very easy to drink. I’m surprised its 7.4% ABV as it felt like something easily under 5%. Great for a hot summers day.

Brewer Description: (from bottle) Fat Tire Amber Ale perfectly balances biscuit-like malt flavors with hoppy freshness. Named in honor of a storied bike ride through Europe. Fat Tire cruises with Belgian imagination and inspiration.

Intro: A 12 fl oz bottle with an enjoy by date of 19th July 2015 and poured into a pint glass.
Appearance: It poured an extremely clear deep copper colour with a one finger white head that dissipates quickly.
Aroma: Slightly weak aromas, but there’s biscuit and bread like notes, slight caramel and also a touch of apple.
Taste: It’s quite similar to the aromas. I get biscuit malts, caramel and some apple juice. I’m not really getting that much hops.
Mouthfeel: Medium bodied and medium to high carbonation.
Overall: This was decent and easy to drink but not amazing. I wouldn’t actively seek it, but if I could find a fresher bottle, I’d try it.
