Intro: A 330ml bottle with a best before date of 15th June 2017. Poured into a Lost Abbey teku glass.
Appearance: A hazy dark copper orange colour with a big three finger off white head that had good retention and left nice lacing.
Aroma: Sour and very fruit forward with lemon, orange, orange rind, grapefruit, passionfruit, lychee, peach and a touch of pepper spice.
Taste: Fruity, sour and tart throughout. A good mix of citrus and tropical with orange, lemon, mango, pineapple, lychee, peach and apricot. There’s a light citrus rind bitterness mixed in there with caramel and a spice pepper finish.
Mouthfeel: Medium bodied with moderate to high carbonation and dry on the finish.
Overall: Enjoyable and refreshingly easy to drink despite it being 7.5% abv.

Stone & Wood Green Coast Lager

Brewery: Stone & Wood Brewing Company
Country: Australia
ABV: 4.7%
Style: International Pale Lager

Brewer Description: (from bottle) Influenced by the surrounding green hills that roll down to meet the Pacific Ocean, Green Coast is brewed with a blend of the finest malts and left unfiltered to create a beer that has a light amber colour with a natural yeast cloud, and a flavour that strikes a fine balance between its subtle hop aroma and full malt palate, finishing soft and clean.

Intro: A 330ml bottle with a best before date of 8th March 2017. Poured into a Moonzen teku glass.
Appearance: A very slightly hazy golden yellow colour with a one finger white head that dissipated fairly quickly while leaving some sparse lacing.
Aroma: Sweet malts and maybe a little musty at times. Not getting any of these supposed ‘subtle hop aroma’.
Taste: Sweet malts with some grassy notes.
Mouthfeel: Light bodied with moderate carbonation.
Overall: Can be refreshing on a hot day, but nothing special.

Taste: Biscuity, banana, honey and orange with a hint of peach. Clove and light peppery spice on the finish.

Intro: A 330ml bottle with a best before date of 13th September 2017. Poured into a Lost Abbey teku glass.
Appearance: A hazy milky dark yellow orange colour with a big two finger white head that dissipates quite quickly but left some sparse sticky lacing. Unfortunately this dull dark milky colour was rather unattractive.
Aroma: Fruit bomb with candied pineapple, mango and mandarin orange.
Taste: Lightly tart with bitter fruitiness. Mango, mandarin, grapefruit and orange zest with a touch of biscuit.
Mouthfeel: Medium bodied with moderate, spritzy carbonation.
Overall: Despite its unappealing appearance, it’s juicy fruity aromas and taste do make this beer enjoyable.
