Brewer Description: (from bottle) A proper disclosure on the beer we make must include our reliance on wood, specifically the nuance and subtlety of French oak barrels. And every once in a great while, barrels come to us that are so special they go from being a supporting member to the leading star. Proper Disclosure is a stunningly deft Saison aged in freshly emptied Frederiksdal cherry wine barrels. After careful execution and extensive maturation, we offer you this decadent offering, a conversation we can share together one glass at a time. Sante!

Intro: A 750ml bottle, with no clear bottled on or best before date. Poured into a Tilquin stemmed glass.
Appearance: A very nice hazy golden colour with an almost two finger white head that had good retention and left lots of nice lacing.
Aroma: Fruity, cherry, apple, funky, musty, oak.
Taste: Lightly sweet and sour, cherry skin, apple, mixed berries, oak, funk, with a splash of lime.
Mouthfeel: Medium bodied with moderate carbonation.
Overall: Nice, enjoyable and refreshing.

Brewer Description: (from bottle) Bourbon Barrel Aged Belgian-Style Quad.

Intro: A 500ml bottle with no clear bottled on or best before date. Poured into a snifter glass.
Appearance: Dark brown in colour with a slight orange tinge, and a thin beige head that dissipated quickly, while leaving only sparse lacing.
Aroma: Bourbon, caramel, dried dark fruit, fig, dates, raisin, with a splash of licorice.
Taste: Sweet, toffee, bourbon, molasses, dark fruit, fig, dates, candi sugar.
Mouthfeel: Medium bodied with soft carbonation.
Overall: In general it’s too sweet. If the sweetness was toned down, I would have enjoyed it more, as the aroma and flavours were nice with a good bourbon influence.
