Intro: A 330ml bottle with a best before date of 25th December 2018. Poured into a d’Achouffe tulip glass.
Appearance: A cloudy purplish red colour with a one finger pinkish head that dissipated quite quickly while leaving some lacing.
Aroma: Cherry, raspberry, lactose and yoghurt.
Taste: A bit light, but its sweet and sour cherry with a light hint of yoghurt.
Mouthfeel: Medium bodied with moderate carbonation.
Overall: I liked the aroma, but its taste was slightly on the watery side, yet surprisingly medium bodied. Having said that, it definitely grew on me the more I drank it. I would get this again.

Intro: A 330ml bottle with a best before date of 3rd February 2019. Poured into a Lost Abbey teku glass.
Appearance: A hazy dark reddish purple colour with a two finger pink head that had good retention and left great lacing.
Aroma: Mixed berries juice. Blackberries, blueberries, raspberries and grape.
Taste: Lightly tart, with blackberries, blueberries, grape and lemon.
Mouthfeel: Light bodied with moderate to high carbonation.
Overall: Very juicy and nice to drink. Not much of the White Ale base really seems to come through, if at all. But that doesn’t take away from it, and its refreshing, fruity character.

Omnipollo x Buxton Original Lemon Meringue Ice Cream Pie

Brewery: Omnipollo x Buxton Brewery
Country: Sweden
ABV: 6%
Style: Fruit Beer
Other Notes: Brewed and bottled by Buxton Brewery & Omnipollo at Buxton Brewery

Brewer Description: (from website) This beer sits right between sour and sweet. In my mind it is the closest we’ve ever come to balance. Kettle-soured and brewed with added lactose, it is then conditioned on buckets of lemon juice. Perfect, like lemon meringue ice cream pie.

Taste: Sour, tangy, tart, juicy, lemon, orange and mango.

Hoegaarden Rosée

Brewery: Brouwerij van Hoegaarden
Country: Belgium
ABV: 3%
Style: Fruit Beer

Brewer Description: (from website) The story of the jam jars gave us an idea. Hoegaarden Rosée. It might be pink but it is very much a wheat beer. It also features the soft taste and subtle colour of raspberries. And while it doesn’t feature a higher alcohol percentage, it does mean you can enjoy it even more in the sun.

Intro: A 250ml bottle with a best before date of 4th May 2017, poured into a Moonzen teku glass.
Appearance: It poured a cloudy reddish pinkish orange colour with a two finger off white head that dissipated quickly and left some lacing.
Aroma: Sweet candy raspberry and strawberry with perhaps a touch of grape juice.
Taste: Sweet candied raspberries followed by apple juice. The finish is somewhat watered down such that any taste becomes really weak.
Mouthfeel: Light bodied with moderate to high carbonation.
Overall: I’m actually fine with the artificial candy berry flavours, but that taste on the finish of being watered down is what disappoints me most.
