Intro: A 1 pint can, canned on 30th June 2017. Poured into a Lost Abbey teku glass.
Appearance: A hazy golden yellow orange colour with a big three finger white head that had decent retention and left nice sticky lacing.
Aroma: Very nice tangy and citrusy grapefruit and orange zest with hints of tropical mango plus a touch of breadiness.
Taste: Good balance of citrus and tropical fruitiness with grapefruit, mandarin sweetness, pineapple and lightly under ripe mango with a touch of bread and cracker on the finish.
Mouthfeel: Light to medium bodied with moderate to high carbonation.
Overall: More body than expected, but other than that, this was a very nice and refreshing beer that is definitely sessionable.

My ratebeer.com rating: 4.2

Intro: A 375ml bottle, bottled in July 2015. Poured into a Lost Abbey teku.
Appearance: A nice hazy golden orange colour with a two finger white head that dissipated fairly quickly while leaving some nice sticky lacing.
Aroma: Tropical fruit, mango and pineapple followed by citrusy mandarin, orange rind and grapefruit with hints of funkiness.
Taste: Similar to the aroma as its funky, tart, sour, tropical, mango, passionfruit and apricot, followed by citrusy mandarin and orange rind with light oak.
Mouthfeel: Medium bodied with moderate to high carbonation.
Overall: Very nice and refreshing tropical and citrus aromas and flavours with matching funk. The barrel notes were a bit weak, but I’m perfectly fine with that in this case.

Crooked Stave Hop Savant (Citra)

Brewery: Crooked Stave Artisan Beer Project
Country: USA
ABV: 7%
Style: American IPA

Brewer Description: (from bottle) American brettanomyces India Pale Ale with Citra.

My rating: 2
My beeradvocate.com rating: 3.22
My ratebeer.com rating: 3.1

Intro: A 375ml bottle, bottled in May 2015. Poured into a Lost Abbey teku glass.
Appearance: A clear golden yellow colour (as there’s still a lot left in the bottle) with a huge rather uncontrollable frothy white head that dissipates slowly while leaving a fair bit of soapy lacing.
Aroma: Band-aid, barnyard, brett, citrus lemon and apricot plus hints of pineapple.
Taste: Lots of brett, band-aid, leather, pepper spiciness, orange peel and apricot.
Mouthfeel: Dry, medium to light bodied with moderate carbonation.
Overall: There’s just a lot of funky brett with some light fruit sweetness towards the end. For me, it just seemed to be missing some tart and sour fruit to help balance out the flavours a bit.

My rating: 4

Intro: A 330ml bottle with best before date of 14th October 2017 and poured into a Spiegelau IPA glass.
Appearance: It poured a clear copper colour with a big three finger off white head that had good retention and lots of nice sticky lacing.
Aroma: Extremely tropical with a lot of fruit like mango, peach, apricot, pineapple with hints of grapefruit and pine. Coffee is there, but its far and away in the background.
Taste: The coffee comes out in the taste and the result is like that of light fruity and floral hand drip coffee with light caramel and a nice grapefruit and pine bitter finish.
Mouthfeel: Light to medium bodied with medium carbonation.
Overall: Very interesting. My first coffee IPA and it was tasty. Will be on the look out for the other variations.
