Intro: A 330ml can with a best before date of 11th May 2019. Poured into a Lost Abbey teku glass.
Appearance: A mostly clear golden colour with a one finger white head that had decent retention but left only sparse lacing.
Aroma: Strong melon and citrusy pith, light grain, biscuit and a sweet cantaloupe-y finish.
Taste: Sweet malts, light bitterness, lots of melon, grapefruit, lemon zest, a touch grainy, grass and a long melon finish.
Mouthfeel: Dry, crisp, light bodied with moderate to high carbonation.
Overall: Started off pretty good already, but it definitely grew on me the more I drank it as the melon and citrus really came through.

Gweilo x Kagua Yuzu Hazy IPA

Brewery: Gweilo Brewery x Far Yeast Brewing
Country: Hong Kong
ABV: 6%
Style: New England / Hazy IPA
Other Notes: 60 IBUs. Collaboration

Brewer Description: (from can) Brewed with our friends at Kagua to mark our launch in Japan, this is our first ever collaboration brew and it is a very special one. With a Denali, Amarillo and Citra base, we’ve also pumped this baby full of yuzu smuggled into Hong Kong by our friends at Kagua. The result is a tropical, juicy explosion of pineapple and yuzu.

Intro: A 330ml can, with a best before date of 24th August 2019. Poured into a Lost Abbey teku glass.
Appearance: A hazy golden straw yellow colour with a two finger white head that had pretty good retention and left lots of nice lacing.
Aroma: Fruity, yuzu, lots of citrus peel and rind, lightly floral.
Taste: Bitter, lightly sweet, tons of yuzu, lots of citrus rind, peel and zest, grass, light floral and light biscuit.
Mouthfeel: Medium to light bodied with moderate carbonation.
Overall: Aroma was great, full of yuzu. In fact, taste was full of yuzu too but this time, overly so. The amount of yuzu seems to have created a bitter like harshness on the palate, almost like you have a mouthful of citrus rind.

Intro: A 375ml corked and caged bottle, production date of 2014/2015 and bottled on 11th November 2016. Poured into a 3 Fonteinen stemmed glass.
Appearance: A hazy golden orange colour with a two finger white head that dissipated quite quickly and left only sparse to no lacing.
Aroma: Funk, farmhouse, light tartness, apricot, peach and citrusy notes.
Taste: Funk, barnyard, oak, sour, tart, lemon with hints of stone fruit and citrus.
Mouthfeel: Medium to light bodied with moderate carbonation.
Overall: Aroma was quite nice, but it seemed to have lost much of the nice fruitiness from the aroma in the taste as the funk and wood were quite powerful. As I drank more and more, it did grow on me though.

Intro: A 500ml can, with a best before date of 28th March 2019. Poured into a Lost Abbey teku glass.
Appearance: A very nice looking cloudy ruby red colour with a two and a half finger pinkish head that had good retention and left lots of nice sticky lacing.
Aroma: Mixed berries, raspberry flavoured candy and berry jammy.
Taste: Tart, raspberry unset jello liquid, raspberry candy sweetness, jammy with a touch of sourness at the end.
Mouthfeel: Medium bodied with moderate carbonation. There is a tinge of alcohol on the back end.
Overall: Nice looking, nice aroma and good flavours. Not really much of an IPA though, and seems closer to a Fruit Beer.

Evil Twin x Omnipollo Rainbownade

Brewery: Evil Twin Brewing x Omnipollo
Country: USA
ABV: 7%
Style: American IPA
Other Notes: India Pale Ale with grapefruit, passion fruit, mango, raspberry and blueberry added. Brewed for Evil Twin Brewing by Dorchester Brewing Company

Brewer Description: (from can) A refreshing drink often associated with childhood nostalgia to others a pop-cultural symbol of female emancipation. Whatever the association we teamed up with two Swedes, Henok and Karl of Omnipollo to squeeze out a tasty, tempting and deceivingly well balanced IPA with sweet and sour notes of old-fashioned memories.

Intro: A 12 fl. oz. can with no canned on or best before date. Poured into a Lost Abbey teku glass.
Appearance: Strange colour… a hazy reddish, orange pink colour (like a dark grapefruit juice) with a two finger, very lightly pink colour head that had pretty good retention but left only sparse to no lacing.
Aroma: Berry notes of that hard candy kind, berry smoothie, and touches of grapefruit here and there.
Taste: Lightly sweet, sour, bitter and tangy. Mixed berries, passionfruit, strawberry, orange, grapefruit, citrus zest and pine.
Mouthfeel: Light to medium bodied with moderate carbonation.
Overall: It’s quite nice, its almost there. The aroma was great, but there was just something in the taste that couldn’t quite pull all the fruit together to make it mesh. While not perfect, it still drinks easy and was refreshing.
