Intro: A 440ml can, with a best before date of 13th September 2022, poured into a snifter glass.
Appearance: Black in colour with a one finger brown head that had decent retention, while leaving some nice lacing.
Aroma: Roasty, coffee, chocolate, caramel, light nuttiness, and light bourbon notes.
Taste: Lightly sweet and a touch bitter, roasted malts, espresso, coffee, chocolate, caramel, vanilla, with light bourbon notes.
Mouthfeel: Creamy, smooth, velvety, full bodied with mild to soft carbonation.
Overall: The coffee in this is really enjoyable. There is a good sweet and bitter balance, and it’s rich and smooth. Tasty!

Imperial Stout brewed with black strap molasses and licorice, dry spiced with cherry bark and vanilla bean, 21% aged in oak bourbon barrels, 21% aged in oak wine barrels, and 8% aged in new Oregon oak barrels.

Intro: A 22 fl. oz. bomber, 2016 Reserve, bottled on 8th December 2016. Poured into a snifter glass.
Appearance: Very dark brown to black in colour with a nice one finger brown head that had decent retention, while leaving lots of nice spotty lacing.
Aroma: Dark malt, moderate roast, chocolate, sweet notes, licorice, molasses, bourbon, oak.
Taste: Light bitterness, roasted malts, dark chocolate, light char, sweet notes, brown sugar, licorice, molasses, oak and bourbon on the finish.
Mouthfeel: Creamy, smooth, full bodied with soft carbonation.
Overall: An excellent classic Imperial Stout with lots of great flavours and not too sweet. A wonderful and enjoyable sipper.

Lervig x Hoppin’ Frog Sippin’ Into Darkness Bourbon Barrel Aged

Intro: A 330ml bottle with no bottled on or best before date. Poured into a snifter glass.
Appearance: Dark dark brown to black in colour with a very thin brown head that disappeared almost immediately while leaving only sparse lacing.
Aroma: Roasty, chocolate, cocoa, Horlicks malt wheat, coffee bean, vanilla, oak, bourbon.
Taste: Sweet, chocolate, bourbon, light roasted malt, cocoa, oak, candi sugar, molasses, lightly boozy, with notes of vanilla.
Mouthfeel: Smooth, creamy, medium to full bodied, with soft carbonation.
Overall: Loved the aroma, and while taste may be on the verge of being too sweet for me, it was still a wonderful sipper.

Intro: A 330ml bottle, Vintage 2018, bottled on 26th November 2020, with a best before date of bottled date +5 years. Poured into a De Struise Black Damnation tasting glass.
Appearance: Black in colour with a half finger beige head that dissipated fairly quickly to a ring around the glass, while leaving some lacing.
Aroma: Roasty, coffee, neapolitan ice cream blend, chocolate, rum, brown sugar.
Taste: Moderately sweet, lightly boozy, rum, roasty, coffee, chocolate, oak, molasses, brown sugar, with vanilla notes.
Mouthfeel: Medium to full bodied with soft carbonation.
Overall: Not a fan of rum, but this worked well with enjoyable aromas and flavours.

Young Master Hak Mo Sheung Double Chocolate

Intro: A 330ml bottle, 2020 release, with a best before date of 1st July 2025. Poured into a snifter glass.
Appearance: Dark brown to black in colour with a one finger mocha brown head that dissipated fairly quickly, while leaving only sparse spotty lacing.
Aroma: Chocolate, bourbon, dried dark fruit, vanilla, oak, with notes of roasted malts.
Taste: Rich milk chocolate, cocoa, bourbon, dark fruit, vanilla, oak, boozy.
Mouthfeel: Creamy, medium to full bodied with soft carbonation.
Overall: An enjoyable Imperial Stout with lots of rich chocolate and bourbon notes.
