Brewer Description: (from bottle) For several years people has been enjoying “oude gueuze” and “lambics”. Naparbier has decided to blend his first oude geuze ever. This oude gueuze is a collaboration between Gunther Bensch (Brouwerij Montaigu / Vicardin) and Naparbier / NaparBCN.

Intro: A 750ml corked and capped bottle, bottled in October 2015. Poured into a 3 Fonteinen gueuze glass.
Appearance: A very slightly hazy golden orange colour with a one finger off white head that had decent retention and eventually settled to a nice thin cap, while leaving some lacing.
Aroma: Funky, damp wood, green apple, orange peel, lemon, lime, and a touch herbal.
Taste: Lightly sour, tart, green apple, orange peel, lemon zest, funky, wet wood, musty.
Mouthfeel: Medium bodied with moderate to soft carbonation.
Overall: Enjoyable and easy to drink, with good funk. Would’ve loved to try this fresh.

Intro: A 375ml capped and corked bottle, bottled on 4th April 2017. Poured into a 3 Fonteinen gueuze glass.
Appearance: A clear golden colour with a thin half finger white head that dissipated fairly quickly and left only sparse lacing.
Aroma: Musty, damp wood, earthy, funky, barnyard, oak, wood, with notes of stone fruit, peach, and lemon.
Taste: Lightly sour, tart, funky, barnyard, peach, green apple, lemon, oak, wood, with notes of vanilla.
Mouthfeel: Medium bodied with soft carbonation.
Overall: Enjoyable with surprising stone fruit notes, and strong oak in a good way.

Intro: A 375ml corked and caged but unlabelled bottle at 3 Fonteinen lambik-O-droom. Bottled on 8th March 2010. Poured into a 3 Fonteinen stemmed glass.
Appearance: A hazy dark orange colour with a just under two finger puffy white head that had good retention and left some nice sticky lacing.
Aroma: Funk, barnyard, hay, earthy, citrusy lemon, oak with hints of herbal and green apple.
Taste: Tart, funky, hay, lemon, grapefruit rind, wet oak and hints of green apple.
Mouthfeel: Smooth, light to medium bodied with low carbonation.
Overall: Just wonderful, with great aromas and taste continuing after 8 years in the bottle.

Golden colour, slightly sour, smooth Gueuze with a sherry-like aroma. The Gueuze for beer connoisseurs. Limited edition of 15,000 bottles.

Intro: A 750ml bottle, bottled in June 2014 and a best before date of 2024. Poured into a Lindemans flute glass.
Appearance: A clear golden orange colour with a just over one finger white head that had pretty good retention and nice lacing.
Aroma: Citrusy lemon, lime, hints of orange, oak, pepper, damp hay, wet leather and a good amount of barnyard funk.
Taste: Lemon-lime, pear, apple peel, oak, lots of funk, barnyard, hay, lemon rind, vinegar bite and mustiness.
Mouthfeel: Crisp, medium to light bodied with high carbonation and a dry finish.
Overall: This surprised me in a good way. Very enjoyable with lots of funk, barnyard, wet hay and leather.

Intro: A 375ml corked and caged bottle with a notched bottled on dating of November 2015, poured into a Cantillon gueuze glass.
Appearance: It poured a slightly hazy golden colour with an almost two finger white head that dissipated quickly to a thin layer while leaving no lacing.
Aroma: Sour, tart, funky and oaky with hints of apple and lemon.
Taste: Sour and tart to start followed by lemon, pear and sour apple fruitiness. The finish has some light funk, a touch of vinegar and nice oakiness.
Mouthfeel: Dry, acidic, medium to light bodied with moderate to high carbonation.
Overall: One of the more sour Gueuze’s out there, but still very nice and enjoyable.
