Intro: A 750ml corked and caged bottle, with a neck label of 2019-2020, and a best before date of 24th January 2030. Poured into a Tilquin stemmed glass.
Appearance: A cloudy golden orange colour with an almost two finger white head that had decent retention, and eventually settled to a thin fluffy cap, while leaving some lacing.
Aroma: Funky, leather, green pepper, green apple, gooseberries, leafy, with a light tartness.
Taste: Light to moderate sour and tartness, funky, leather, green apple, green pepper, gooseberries, oak, green vines, leafy.
Mouthfeel: Medium bodied with moderate carbonation.
Overall: Interesting aroma and flavours that were a bit more vegetal and leafy than expected, and while I prefer a lot of other fruited lambic from Tilquin, it was still quite enjoyable.
