ABV: 11%
Style: American Imperial Stout
Other Notes: Brewed by Omnipollo at Brouwerij De Molen (Netherlands)

Brewer Description: (from website) Gesha village in Ethiopia is said to be the birthplace of coffee. Not only does this region offer up the longest coffee history, it also boasts some of the best stuff in the world. This stout is a celebration of that heritage. And a way to show appreciation for some personal close friends in Ethiopia that are part of a handful of incredibly rigorous coffee growers.

Intro: A 330ml bottle, bottled on 8th June 2018, and with a best before date of 8th June 2019. Poured into a snifter glass.
Appearance: Black in colour with a thin mocha brown head that dissipated quickly and left some nice spotty lacing.
Aroma: Roasty malts, chocolate, brownies, coffee, vanilla, a light nuttiness and just a hint of bourbon.
Taste: Lightly sweet, roasty malts, chocolate, coffee, vanilla, and a hint of syrupy caramel. Light bitter finish. But, I’m not getting much bourbon here.
Mouthfeel: Creamy, sticky, full bodied with soft carbonation.
Overall: Very nice roasty flavours but only light coffee, and I’m not getting much or any of the supposed bourbon notes. Still tastes great overall though.

ABV: 12.5%
Style: American Imperial Stout
Other Notes: Imperial Stout Aged in Bourbon Barrels

Brewer Description: (from bottle) A priestly Party Crasher saw an evil demon strolling by Sunset Grill in Boston, disguised as a dirty cretin sporting Crocs. He caused quite a scene when he whipped out his bible and cast away the evil spirits, but it’s what he had to do. To commemorate the occasion, we aged Undead Party Crasher (our imperial stout) in bourbon barrels for 3 months.

Intro: A 12 fl. oz. bottle with no clear bottled on or best before date. Poured into a snifter glass.
Appearance: Dark dark brown to black in colour with a half finger mocha brown head that dissipated quickly and left only sparse to no lacing.
Aroma: Roasted malts, chocolate, cocoa, vanilla and a light nuttiness.
Taste: Similar to the aroma, with roasted malts, chocolate, vanilla and light coffee.
Mouthfeel: Medium to full bodied with soft carbonation.
Overall: This was good, but perhaps the only reason I preferred the Coffee version over Vanilla was because this was slightly too sweet for my palate. In the end though, the original was better than any of the deconstructed versions.

Intro: A 12 fl. oz. bottle with no clear bottled on or best before date. Poured into a snifter glass.
Appearance: A dark dark brown to black in colour with a thin mocha brown head that disappeared almost immediately and left only sparse to no lacing.
Aroma: Roasted malts, chocolate, cocoa and oak.
Taste: Similar to the aroma, there’s roasted malts, cocoa, chocolate, hints of vanilla and a boozy lightly bitter finish.
Mouthfeel: Medium to full bodied with soft carbonation.
Overall: Aroma was nice, but taste while not bad, was not as good as the Coffee or Vanilla versions. Having said that, the Original was definitely better than the Deconstructed versions.
