Brewer Description: (from bottle) Stop! Commence the sippin’ Westbrook is back with a brand new invention with this not-so-traditional twist on our German-style Berliner Weisse. Rhubarb Remix is brewed with the traditional no-boil method, and then infused with strawberries and rhubarb.

Intro: A 750ml bottle, bottled on 3rd February 2017. Poured into a 3 Fonteinen stemmed glass.
Appearance: A clear golden orange colour with a two finger white head, that dissipated fairly quickly, while leaving sparse to no lacing.
Aroma: Strawberry, rhubarb, lightly tart, and a splash of lemon.
Taste: Rhubarb, lightly smoky, strawberry, lemon and a touch of wheat.
Mouthfeel: Light bodied with soft carbonation.
Overall: Light and refreshing, smoke was interesting but not my preference, not sure where it comes from but I suspect from the rhubarb. Also hoped for much higher carbonation.

Brewer Description: (from can) Berliner style Weisse beer brewed with sour cherries.

Intro: A 330ml can with a best before date of 5th July 2019. Poured into a 3 Fonteinen stemmed glass.
Appearance: A lightly hazy ruby red colour with a two finger pinkish head that dissipated fairly quickly but left lots of nice lacing.
Aroma: Cherry, cherry candy, lightly tart, light funk.
Taste: Lightly sour, lightly tart, cherry, cherry candy, touch of wheat.
Mouthfeel: Light bodied with high carbonation.
Overall: Aroma and flavours were quite nice with strong cherry candy notes. However I guess it just wasn’t exactly what I expected since ‘Double Sour Cherry’ is in its name, and it just wasn’t that sour at all.

Brewer Description: (from can) Gweilo Stout is decadently rich and full bodied whilst remaining sessionable at 5.5%. The unique blend of malts delivers a coffee and chocolate profile with notes of almond. This compliments the creaminess from the oats, producing a deeply satisfying stout.

Intro: A 330ml can with a best before date of 27th January 2020. Poured into a Spiegelau Stout glass.
Appearance: Dark brown in colour with a two finger beige head that had decent retention while leaving only sparse lacing.
Aroma: Roasty, dark malt, chocolate, coffee, brown sugar and light biscuit.
Taste: Roasty, dark malt, light sweetness, chocolate, coffee, light caramel, slight charcoal, and light biscuit.
Mouthfeel: Medium to light bodied with soft carbonation.
Overall: Ever so slightly watered down on the flavour especially when it warmed a bit and the slight charcoal in the flavour wasn’t my favourite, but it still has nice roasty, chocolate and coffee notes.

Brewer Description: (from can) Gweilo Citrus Crusher is our refreshing, lighter, go-to beer. Additions of Mandarina Bavaria, Citra and grapefruit puree bring subtle citrus notes to the light ale base. It’s an ideal brew to crush on a warm day.

Intro: A 330ml can with a best before date of 9th April 2020. Poured into a Lost Abbey teku glass.
Appearance: A hazy golden straw yellow colour with a two finger white head that had decent retention while leaving some lacing.
Aroma: Light mango, mandarin peel and citrus zest.
Taste: Light flavours, citrus zest, mandarin peel, a touch of grains and a hint of stone fruit.
Mouthfeel: Light bodied with moderate carbonation.
Overall: Even though it’s a Session IPA, light and refreshing, and while there’s nothing exactly wrong with the aroma and taste, I’d still expect it to be stronger and more prominent than what currently shows.

Brewer Description: (from can) Imperial Porter brewed with coffee and vanilla and almonds added.

Intro: A 1 pint can, canned on 1st February 2019. Poured into a snifter glass.
Appearance: Dark brown to black in colour with a one finger tanned head that dissipated fairly quickly but left lots of spotty lacing.
Aroma: Roasty, coffee, cocoa, chocolate, vanilla, with a hint of nuts.
Taste: Moderate sweetness, very light roast, bakers chocolate, vanilla, coffee and only a hint of nuts.
Mouthfeel: Creamy, full bodied with soft carbonation.
Overall: Sweetness, chocolate and vanilla seem to dominate, and there was coffee, but I was hoping for more roastiness and nuts to balance the sweetness.
