Brewer Description: (from website) Pannepot is one of our biggest flagship beers at De Struise Brouwers. It is a Belgian dark strong ale with a subtle stout touch. Saw the light of day for the first time in 2003 and has been in the Top 100 of the best beers in the world since 2004.

Intro: A 330ml bottle, 2020 vintage, bottled on 14th July 2020, with a best before date of 14th July 2025. Poured into a Struise tulip glass.
Appearance: Dark brown in colour with a thin beige head that dissipated quickly and left only sparse to no lacing.
Aroma: Sweet, doughy, cake, caramel, clove, candied plum, prune, grape gummy candies, chocolate, coffee, and candi sugar.
Taste: Lightly sweet, yeasty, doughy, slightly boozy, fig, clove, plum, prunes, raisin, toffee, with notes of cocoa and chocolate.
Mouthfeel: Creamy, medium bodied with low carbonation.
Overall: A little bit too doughy for me, but still enjoyable.

Crooked Stave x Omnipollo Bianca Peaches & Cream Wild Wild Brett

Intro: A 375ml bottle, with no bottled on or best before date. Poured into a 3 Fonteinen stemmed glass.
Appearance: A nice hazy golden light orange colour with a one finger white head that dissipated fairly quickly while leaving some nice lacing.
Aroma: Tart, peach, peach gummy rings, vanilla, lemon zest, brett, funk.
Taste: Sour, tart, and sweet, like peach gummy rings, peach, apricot, lemon, with light vanilla notes.
Mouthfeel: Medium bodied, with moderate carbonation.
Overall: Very enjoyable aroma and flavours, with a good balance between sweet and sour.

Brewer Description: (from bottle) House of Sour. The Vine is a blend of sour wheat and blond ales aged in white wine barrels for up to 16 months with Gewürztraminer grapes.

Intro: A 750ml corked and caged bottle, 2015 project. Poured into a 3 Fonteinen stemmed glass.
Appearance: A lightly hazy golden colour, with a thin white head that dissipated quickly, while leaving only some sparse lacing.
Aroma: Tart, oak, funk, vinous, white wine, grape, grape skin, with light citrusy lemon and mixed berry notes.
Taste: Sour, tart, vinous, white wine, lightly sweet, grape skin, oak, wood, lemon.
Mouthfeel: Medium bodied with moderate carbonation.
Overall: Complex and balanced with good sweet and sour notes and strong vinous and oak presence.

Cascade Blackcap Raspberry

Brewer Description: (from bottle) House of Sour. This Northwest sour ale is a blend of wheat and blond ales that were aged in oak barrels with blackcap and red raspberries for up to 14 months.

Intro: A 750ml corked and caged bottle, 2016 project. Poured into a 3 Fonteinen stemmed glass.
Appearance: A slightly hazy deep reddish maroon colour with a less than one finger pinkish head that faded quickly while leaving some sparse spotty lacing.
Aroma: Lightly tart, jammy, raspberry, oak, grape skin, with notes of cherry and apple cider vinegar.
Taste: Sour, tart, raspberry, blackcurrant, sharp, acidic, lemon juice, a touch vinous, and woody oaky notes.
Mouthfeel: Sharp, acidic, light to medium bodied with moderate carbonation.
Overall: Like most Cascade wild ales, there is sharp acidity, but in this case, it wasn’t overwhelming, and balanced a bit by the sweet raspberry. This was enjoyable.

So we made a milkshake, with hops and fresh lemons, just for you. Using peels and pulps from local lemons produced by Siu Chak Farm in Yuen Long, this zesty, smooth lemonade milkshake IPA is our answer for all you overaged kids.

Intro: A 330ml can, canned on 22nd October 2020, and with a best before date of 22nd July 2021. Poured into a Holy Mountain tulip glass.
Appearance: A nice hazy golden straw orange colour with an almost two finger white head that had pretty good retention and left some nice lacing.
Aroma: Lemon, lemon zest, lemon cake, vanilla.
Taste: Lightly sweet and lightly sour, lemonade, lemon zest, lactose, vanilla, lightly bitter finish.
Mouthfeel: Light bodied with moderate carbonation.
Overall: Very enjoyable and extremely easy to drink. It’s as it says, a lemonade milkshake. I wish I got to try a can earlier as it’s about 7 weeks old now.
