My rating: 4
My beeradvocate.com rating: 4.02
My ratebeer.com rating: 3.9

Intro: A 375ml bottle with a best before date of 21st September 2027. Poured into a 3 Fonteinen stemmed glass.
Appearance: A murky dark orange brown colour with a two finger beige head that dissipated fairly quickly, but left only sparse to no lacing.
Aroma: Tart, lightly sweet and sour, strawberry yoghurt, lightly lactic, peachy and a touch floral.
Taste: Tart, peach, oak, yoghurt with a hint of funk and vinegar.
Mouthfeel: Medium bodied with moderate carbonation.
Overall: Very different to all others in the Spontan lineup with its lactic and yoghurty notes and also a whole lot less funky. I’m not sure what rosehip is supposed to smell or taste like, but this beer was pretty nice.

Intro: A 500ml can, lot #268, with a best before date of 30th March 2019. Poured into a Lost Abbey teku glass.
Appearance: A hazy golden orange colour, with a two finger white head that had pretty good retention while leaving some nice lacing.
Aroma: Citrusy orange, orange rind, grapefruit zest, grass with a hint of pineapple and mango.
Taste: Lightly sweet and bitter, dank, orange zest, citrus rind, mango, pineapple and a hint of peach and grass.
Mouthfeel: Medium bodied with moderate carbonation.
Overall: Nice and tasty with some good juiciness. I liked it better than Ensemble Two which I thought was too sweet, but this one had a better balance of sweet and bitter.

Sori Ensemble Two Mosaic & Enigma DDH DIPA

Brewery: Sori Brewing
Country: Estonia
ABV: 8%
Style: American Double IPA

Brewer Description: (from can) Ensemble Two, the next piece of our symphony stars the cross-hemisphere duo of Mosaic and Enigma. Packed with a tropical fruit salad of aromas and juicy flavors. Finishing with a smooth and balanced bitterness. This DDH Double IPA is a beast!

Intro: A 500ml can, lot #267, with a best before date of 30th March 2019. Poured into a Lost Abbey teku glass.
Appearance: A cloudy darkish orange colour with a thin half finger white head that dissipated quickly and left only sparse lacing.
Aroma: Sweet citrus, pineapple, grapefruit, citrus zest and rind, pine, grass with a hint of overripe mango and papaya.
Taste: Sweet fruit juice, pineapple, mandarin, orange juice, lightly bitter citrus rind, with hints of papaya and a tinge of alcohol.
Mouthfeel: Medium bodied with moderate carbonation.
Overall: It has some nice juiciness, but probably just on the edge of being too sweet for me as it lacks the bitterness to balance.

To Øl Garden Of Haze

Brewery: To Øl
Country: Denmark
ABV: 6.4%
Style: American IPA

Brewer Description: (from can) New England style fruit India Pale Ale.

Intro: A 500ml can, with a best before date of 8th November 2018. Poured into a Lost Abbey teku glass.
Appearance: A very lightly misty golden colour, with a two finger white head that had good retention and left some nice sticky lacing.
Aroma: Light tartness, guava, passionfruit, mango and grass.
Taste: Tart, guava, passionfruit, mango, lemon juice, then it just goes really sour with nothing to balance it.
Mouthfeel: Medium bodied with moderate to low carbonation.
Overall: A self described NEIPA, but really, nothing about it screams NEIPA. I believe it was created with Garden of Eden (which I actually enjoyed) in mind, but this was just a strange one for me. Aromas were good and fruity, but taste just went full on sour after starting out encouragably with some nice fruitiness. There was no balance to the sour and zero bitterness. A sour Fruit beer comes to mind here, but good ones have more complexity than this pure sour bomb.

Mikkeller 1000 IBU

Other Notes: Brewed by Mikkeller at De Proef Brouwerij, Belgium

Brewer Description: (from bottle) American-style Imperial India Pale Ale.

Intro: A 330ml bottle, with a best before date of 21st September 2019. Poured into a Lost Abbey teku glass.
Appearance: A hazy dark copper colour with quite a lot of very small suspended particles, a two finger beige head that had good retention and left behind lots of nice sticky lacing.
Aroma: Caramel maltiness, mango, pine, grapefruit zest and orange rind.
Taste: Sweet, caramel malt, resinous pine, grapefruit, lemon zest, orange peel and brown sugar.
Mouthfeel: Medium to full bodied with moderate carbonation.
Overall: Not bad, but it’s not exactly what I want my DIPA’s to be like. Approaching like a Barleywine and on the verge of being too sweet in my opinion. Once is enough for me.
