Intro: A 750ml corked and capped bottle, with a best before date of 13th April 2028 (10 years). Poured into a 3 Fonteinen stemmed glass.
Appearance: A slightly hazy reddish purple colour with a one finger pinkish head that had decent retention and eventually settled to a thin cap while leaving some lacing.
Aroma: Cherry, grape skin, vinious, red wine, hay, oak, with light herbal and funky notes.
Taste: Lightly tart, grape skin, vinous, red wine, oak, hay, cherry, blackberry, with light tannins.
Mouthfeel: Medium bodied with moderate to soft carbonation.
Overall: Only my fourth bottle from Tommie Sjef, but this was easily my favourite so far. Wonderful aroma and flavours with lots of grape, vinous and oak notes. Very enjoyable.

Intro: A 750ml corked and capped bottle with a best before date of 9th November 2029 (10 years). Poured into a 3 Fonteinen stemmed glass.
Appearance: A hazy golden orange colour with a one finger white head that dissipated fairly quickly to a thin cap, while leaving some lacing.
Aroma: Funky, oak, with notes of peach and plum.
Taste: Sour, tart, funk, oak, stone fruit, peach, apricot, lemon, plum.
Mouthfeel: Medium to light bodied with soft carbonation.
Overall: Good complexity with a nice balance of funk and fruit.

Intro: A 750ml corked and capped bottle, with a best before date of 13th June 2029 (10 years). Poured into a 3 Fonteinen stemmed glass.
Appearance: A slightly hazy deep red colour with a purple hue, with a one finger pinkish head that had decent retention but settled to a nice replenishing fluffy cap, while leaving some lacing.
Aroma: Fruity, grape skin, red wine grapes, cherry, oak, with notes of funk, leather, and black olives.
Taste: Lightly sour, grape skin, red wine, vinous, black cherry, oak, herbal, funk, and black olives.
Mouthfeel: Dry, medium bodied with soft carbonation.
Overall: I wasn’t sure what to make of the aroma and flavour upon the first sip, but I definitely grew to enjoy it.

Intro: A 750ml corked and capped bottle, with a best before date of 26th September 2028 (10 years). Poured into a 3 Fonteinen stemmed glass.
Appearance: A slightly hazy deep red colour with a one finger white head that dissipated quickly but settled to a thin cap, while leaving some lacing.
Aroma: Mixed red berries, raspberry, slightly jammy, with black currant and oak notes.
Taste: Tart, sour, raspberry, blackberry, black currant, lightly vinous red wine, and faint oak.
Mouthfeel: Medium to light bodied, with soft to moderate carbonation.
Overall: Enjoyable and easy to drink with good fruitiness. Surprised there wasn’t more funk.

Lambiek Fabriek Juicy & Wild Black-Belle

Brewer Description: (from bottle) Unique unfiltered blend of self-brewed spontaneous fermented lambics, aged in oak barrels and macerated with black currant (+/- 300g/l).

Intro: A 750ml corked and capped bottle, bottled in June 2020, with a best before date of bottled date +5 years. Poured into a 3 Fonteinen stemmed glass.
Appearance: A slightly hazy deep red colour with a two fingered very light pink fluffy head that had decent retention but eventually settled to a very nice fluffy cap, while leaving lots of nice lacing.
Aroma: Lightly tart, lemon zest, funky, damp hay, oak, blueberry, with only light notes of black currant.
Taste: Lightly sour, tart, lemon, blueberry, blackberry, light funk, woody, and much like the aroma, only light notes of black currant.
Mouthfeel: Dry, medium to light bodied with moderate carbonation.
Overall: Absolutely loved the look, and flavours were good, but black currant didn’t come out as strongly in the aroma or flavours as I’d hoped for.
