Intro: A 750ml corked and capped bottle, with a best before date of 26th September 2028 (10 years). Poured into a 3 Fonteinen stemmed glass.
Appearance: A slightly hazy deep red colour with a one finger white head that dissipated quickly but settled to a thin cap, while leaving some lacing.
Aroma: Mixed red berries, raspberry, slightly jammy, with black currant and oak notes.
Taste: Tart, sour, raspberry, blackberry, black currant, lightly vinous red wine, and faint oak.
Mouthfeel: Medium to light bodied, with soft to moderate carbonation.
Overall: Enjoyable and easy to drink with good fruitiness. Surprised there wasn’t more funk.
