Brewery: Bofkont
Country: Belgium
ABV: 6%
Style: Lambic – Fruit
Other Notes: 2023 vintage
Brewer Description: (from bottle) 1, 2 and 3 years old lambic with Mirabelle de Nancy from France. How did the beer get its name? After sorting out for days at the ideal ripeness of the mirabelles in 2020. Let’s just say it took a while before I feld in love with the mirabelles.

Intro: A 750ml corked and capped bottle, 2023 vintage, bottled on 5th November 2023. Poured into a Tilquin stemmed glass.
Appearance: A hazy apricot orange colour, with a one finger white head that had pretty good retention, and eventually settled to a nice thin but fluffy cap, while leaving some nice lacing.
Aroma: Juicy, tart, plums, orange, oak, with some light funk.
Taste: Sour, tart, juicy, plum, citrus, orange, grapefruit zesty, with light notes of oak and funk.
Mouthfeel: Medium bodied with soft to moderate carbonation.
Overall: Refreshing with good aroma and flavours. Lots of plum but also a citrus bomb with a good amount of orange and grapefruit zest.
